*        The Honours subject shall be one of the Electives offered in the previous semesters.

Note:
1.       Each paper will carry 100 marks and shall be evaluated at the end semester examination. The examination of a paper will be of three hours duration.
2.       Major Indian Languages (MIL) currently approved by the Academic Council are: i) Bengali, ii) Hindi, iii) Manipuri, iv) Mizo, v) Nepali, vi) Paite, viii) Hmar
3.       Pass Marks for a theory paper of 100 marks shall be 35.
4.       For an Elective paper comprising of Theory and Practical components, the distribution of marks shall be as follows:

5.       The Honours Papers (H)-507 and (H)-610 may be practical papers and the pass marks shall be 40.

6.       The paper on Regional Development (Northeast) shall focus on the study of society/polity/ Economy/Culture of the seven Northeastern States in general, and Manipur in particular. Detailed course-content and material shall be developed in time.
